Briefing: where you stand

Briefing is RunwayFI’s read-only view of the active plan. It brings the trajectory, current-law context, headline computations, and the next incomplete fact into one place. It observes the plan; it does not keep a second copy of any fact or assumption.

Read the status

The hero states the plan’s current trajectory and the law year behind it. The headline tiles are Net worth, Annual savings, Total tax, and Days of freedom. A tile with enough input shows a computed value. A tile without enough input names the missing owner instead of filling the gap with an optimistic number.

The memory and freshness rows describe what changed since the prior view. They do not rewrite the plan.

Explore another age

Move Viewing age to inspect the same plan at another point on its trajectory. The visible headline tiles re-derive for that age. This is a view control: moving it does not change today’s account balances, income, expenses, or plan settings.

Follow the surface that owns the edit

Opening Net worth takes you to My Finances, where account records live. The other headline tiles open their matching Plan lens. Briefing never turns a computed tile into an inline fact editor.

One thing worth doing next identifies the highest-impact missing input in the current completeness graph. Do it now opens the exact My Finances section, contribution editor, or Plan destination that owns it.

Open the computation trace

Show the math ▸ opens the existing computation drawer for the Briefing explanation beside it. The drawer uses the real graph trace; the guide does not recreate the calculation or supply a sample result.
